Every time I have experienced the second type I walk out feeling like my ankles are brand new and am able to go longer periods (years) with out injury. The second type will give you a legit workout (agility drills, squats, etc), put you in pain (the good kind, the pain of getting stronger) and then use massage, ice and TENS afterward. The first type I experienced, they did minimal massage, and very simple exercises (abc's with my foot, picking up marbles etc) that never seemed to help and I would always end up injured again just months down the road. In my experience with physical therapy there tends to be two types of therapy. I can not say enough good things about Synergy Sports and Rehab! At synergy Sports and Rehab, he assists in providing relationships between High School Athletics and appropriate medical professions to form outreach programs that provide medical care for those schools. He has extensive experience in the treatment of a variety of orthopedic injuries and specializes in pitching analysis for shoulder and elbow pain, and ACL rehabilitation and prevention programs. He has worked in various avenues of sports rehabilitation with such relationships as the Seattle Mariners Baseball Club, San Diego State Aztecs, and the United States and Canadian National Field Hockey teams. As well as being an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist, Jeff is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA, certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, is certified as a Medical Titleist Performance Institute Clinician, and is certified to evaluate and fit for custom orthotics. After working as an athletic trainer at Ventura College and various local high schools he decided to pursue his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2005. Jeff received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science/Athletic Training from San Diego State University in 1999.
